Candy and bitter chickpeas recipe

1 tbsp olive oil
half giant crimson onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2 tbsp tamari
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp cornstarch
Warmth the olive oil in a big pan over a medium warmth, then add the onion and garlic. Prepare dinner for 2-Three minutes, till softened. Now add the chickpeas, tamari, rice vinegar, tomato paste, maple syrup, water and cornstarch. Prepare dinner for round 5 minutes, till the sauce thickens.
